10. 傳輸
DVB系統(tǒng)的核心是它的一系列傳輸規(guī)范。第一個規(guī)范是DVB-S，即DVB衛(wèi)星傳輸（satellite transmission）標準，基于QPSK，現(xiàn)在是事實上的數(shù)字TV應用世界衛(wèi)星傳輸標準。DVB-C，即電纜遞交機制（cable delivery），與DVB-S關系密切，是基于64-QAM，當然也支持更高階的調(diào)制方案。
DVB-T（terrestrial transmission）則是DVB三個核心系統(tǒng)中最年輕的。它基于COFDM （Coded Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing，編碼正交頻分復用）和QPSK、16 QAM以及64 QAM，是今天可用的最復雜和最靈活的數(shù)字地面?zhèn)鬏斚到y(tǒng)。DVB-T允許服務提供商不用多大努力就能匹配甚至改進模擬電視的覆蓋。它將數(shù)字地面電視的范圍擴展到移動領域（在此之前這被認為是不可能的?。?，或擴展到與其他數(shù)字系統(tǒng)結合。
與這三個核心標準相關聯(lián)的是一組實現(xiàn)指南和為微波數(shù)字電視遞交設計的文檔方案。
