AMD 微處理器業(yè)務(wù)部副總裁兼總經(jīng)理 Marty Seyer 表示：“當(dāng)初進軍 64 位計算技術(shù)之時，AMD已經(jīng)預(yù)見到顧客對創(chuàng)新技術(shù)的迫切需求，并以此作為努力方向，開發(fā)出既具備領(lǐng)先32位計算功能、又可輕松處理 64 位應(yīng)用的 AMD64 架構(gòu)。如今市場對 AMD64 技術(shù)的需求日益迫切，業(yè)界反應(yīng)自然熱烈?！?BR>微軟公司W(wǎng)indows服務(wù)器業(yè)務(wù)部總經(jīng)理 Bob Kelly 表示：“微軟最近為 Windows Server(r) 和 Windows XP 推出了 64 位擴展系統(tǒng)用戶預(yù)覽計劃，用戶對此反應(yīng)熱烈。可以說，AMD成功地開發(fā)出以用戶為中心的技術(shù)，不但令 64位處理技術(shù)提升了系統(tǒng)性能, 也為系統(tǒng)增添可隨時擴展的靈活性，為用戶鋪設(shè)了從32位應(yīng)用平滑過渡到64位應(yīng)用的坦途，這實際上是進一步提升用戶投資的保護?！?BR>最近加盟 AMD64 產(chǎn)品陣營或表示進一步支持的 OEM 廠商包括宏碁、eMachines、富士通、富士通西門子、惠普、IBM、NEC-CI 以及 Sun，其他一些選擇基于 AMD Opteron(tm) 或 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 處理器的 AMD64 計算方案的主要客戶包括AIST、美國中央情報局、DaimlerChrysler (克萊斯勒汽車)、Ducati Corse、法拉利、美國洛斯阿拉莫斯國家實驗室、美國國家安全局、Rhythm & Hues、美國Sandia 國家實驗室以及 weather.com。
