            Augmented reality experience platform with force-feedback mechanism

            摘要:本文介紹了一個(gè)結(jié)合增強(qiáng)現(xiàn)實(shí)、慣性導(dǎo)航和力反饋技術(shù)的體驗(yàn)平臺(tái)。該平臺(tái)在功能上以實(shí)現(xiàn)人手的握力感為基礎(chǔ),構(gòu)建了一個(gè)可操作的增強(qiáng)現(xiàn)實(shí)環(huán)境。在硬件上,本平臺(tái)充分利用基于(R) Atom(TM) 平臺(tái)的多媒體處理能力,將其作為數(shù)據(jù)處理的核心單元,配合為此平臺(tái)專門研制的具備全方位數(shù)據(jù)采集功能的外骨骼式力反饋機(jī)構(gòu)和局部外圍電路,保障了平臺(tái)穩(wěn)定流暢的運(yùn)行;在軟件上,以捷聯(lián)導(dǎo)航系統(tǒng)算法、基于視覺的三維空間注冊(cè)算法等為基礎(chǔ),高效地實(shí)現(xiàn)了虛擬裝配、體感游戲和具有觸感桌面應(yīng)用等功能。相比市面上現(xiàn)有的類似系統(tǒng),具有成本低、用戶體驗(yàn)性好、功耗低等優(yōu)點(diǎn),為將來實(shí)現(xiàn)消費(fèi)級(jí)的可移動(dòng)增強(qiáng)現(xiàn)實(shí)系統(tǒng)鋪墊了一定基礎(chǔ)。

            Abstract:The paper introduces a new experience platform which is based on the combination of the augmented reality technology,strapdown inertial navigating system and force-feedback technology. It builds an operational augmented-reality environment. On the hardware aspect,the platform uses the Menlow embedded platform as the central data handling units and fully exerts its powerful ability to handle multimedia data. The platform contains a Force-back exoskeleton attached with local peripheral circuits which can collect and process the comprehensive data of the tester's hand. On the software aspect,the platform based on the strapdown navigation algorithm and the three-dimensional registration algorithm can effectively realize the feature including virtual assembly, and experience games or movable desktop with feeling of grip.Compared with some existing similar system,this system has the advantages of low cost,good experience and low power consumption. These advantages will lay a foundation for future implementation of portable augmented-reality embedded product.
