Department Introduction
We are building a new department consisting of entrepreneurial and commercial people that look at the business aspects of research results. They evaluate and advise on the business potential for all research deliverables, to serve several goals: (1) optimal portfolio management for research management; (2) starting and managing new business initiatives for specific opportunities in Asia Pacific, either in existing Philips Business Units, or by doing a new venture startup; (3) supporting the Philips China National Organization in new business initiative efforts (examples are projects for accelerated and sustainable growth, and also opportunities in emerging markets). The new department is headed by a experienced entrepreneur that has founded, run and sold his own company prior to joining Philips, and who has successfully executed technology based startups in Philips and other large corporations. The department head is part of the management team for Philips Research East Asia and reports to the Chief Technology Officer for Philips in China.
Technological Marketing Research Intern
- interested in, and capable to understand various technological concepts (some technological background a must)
- excellent internet research skills in Chinese
- ability to report on research results in well written English reports
- potential topics: lighting, architecture, construction, hotel business, consumer electronics, publishing, pc accessories, etc.
- availability: 3 days a week
